Summary

To share knowledge in aquatic research especially those related to fisheries management and aquaculture development with emphasis on food security, employment opportunities and poverty alleviation. This is in keeping with the mission of KMFRI to contribute to the management and sustainable exploitation of aquatic resources and thus alleviate poverty, enhance employment creation and food security through multidisciplinary and collaborative research in both marine and fresh-water aquatic systems.

ARK II aims to bring together scientists, managers and stakeholders to discuss research and technological advances with relevance to the management of both freshwater and marine resources in Kenya.
