My research focused on describing and quantifying biological and physical processes that control marine population dynamics with an emphasis on the transport of pelagic larval stages. I also work on marine biodiversity of marine crustaceans mainly shrimps from the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico and in developing and implementation of techniques for the culture of marine organisms. This research contributes to the understanding of marine ecosystems and has applications in conservation biology and biodiversity.
