Responsibilities:
Develop, run, and analyze a suite of climate change model simulations,
Analysis of transient climate simulations of different complexity,
Assessment of the influence of model improvements and increased complexity on simulated climate feedbacks and climate sensitivity,
study climate change scenario and impacts, for the effects on atmospheric chemistry, ecosystems, water resources, and human health.
Analyze, research, design, develop, and test and evaluate software for ingesting data from remote sensors and to integrate data from different sensors to produce new intelligence products.
Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information and communication technology initiatives;
Directs the planning and implementation of enterprise ICT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development and responsible for all aspects of the organizations information and communication technology and systems.
Alignment of technology vision with business strategy by integrating organization processes with the appropriate technologies.
Ensure the security and integrity of data, data systems, and data networks across the entire organization.
Design, development and delivery of applications.
Design, implement and maintain database architectures and strategies to ensure performance, availability, integrity and security of the Department's databases.
Monitor and improve database performance and capacity utilization to provide high database availability and redundancy.
Plan and execute future expansion requirements including the installation and testing of DBMS upgrades and patches when needed.
Deploy security measures to safeguard all internal databases.
