I have a marine ecology background and a PhD in Antarctic paleoecology. I am now running the International Project Office of the Southern Ocean Observing System, which aims to establish a multidisciplinary observing system to deliver the sustained observations of the Southern Ocean that are needed to address key challenges of scientific and societal relevance.
