Amateur; main interest: fossil and living Chondrichthyes (sharks, skates, rays and ratfishes) of the whole world; special interest: Tertiary (Miocene) fragments (teeth, vertebrae, dermal denticles and scales) of fossil chondrichthyans in Switzerland, especially from the region between Thun and Berne (Tertiary, Miocene; Middle Burdigalian; Middle Ottnangian); collection of more than 7'000 papers dealing with fossil and living chondrichthyans (sharks, skates, rays and ratfishes); collection of chondrichthyan hard parts (fossil and living) from the whole world, from Carboniferous to actual is now housed in the Natural History Museum in Berne (Switzerland); preparing paper about the elasmobranchs (sharks, skates and rays) of the Belpberg Beds (Tertiary, Miocene, Middle Burdigalian, Middle Ottnangian) between Berne and Thun (Switzerland, Europe)
