Steve Klose is an Australian-German ecologist. He serves as Senior Advisor with the
German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). Prior to this, he worked with BirdLife Australia as a Program Manager (Migratory Shorebirds), Office Head to the Parliamentary State Secretary at BMU, was a German Research Foundation (DFG) Postdoctoral Fellow coordinating
research in Africa, and an Expert Scientist for Wildlife assessing
global environmental risks with the world's leading chemical company,
BASF SE (EUROSTOXX50). Steve twice received Australian Government Endeavour
Fellowships for excellence research based at the University of
Queensland in Brisbane, where he also graduated with his first degree in
science.
