• Assisting management in policy formulation and implementation. • To prepare annual budget for the sector that are in line with our goals. • Strengthening the National Statistical System. • Identifying initiatives to accelerate development of the sector. • Providing management with information to help make informed decisions. • Assist in the monitoring, evaluation and review of development programmes and projects. • Help developing and monitoring the implementation of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) – particularly during the strategic phase.
