Activities
My research activities focus on the interaction between ocean, climate, and maritime systems, with particular emphasis on physical oceanography, climatology, meteorology, coastal resilience, and sustainable maritime development. In the areas of Climatology and Meteorology, my work addresses climate variability, climate change impacts, extreme weather events, air temperature trends, wind patterns, climate downscaling, and climate-risk assessment for coastal and maritime regions. In Physical Oceanography, my research includes sea-level variability, tidal datum analysis, hydrographic structure, coastal hydrodynamics, sea surface temperature, wave conditions, marine heatwaves, and oceanographic data analysis.
My work also links to Policy, Law, Economics, and Management through applied research on maritime sustainability, blue economy, port environmental performance, greenhouse gas emissions from maritime activities, climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and integrated coastal zone management. In relation to Research Support Services, I contribute to research project coordination, postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, institutional accreditation, scientific reviewing, international partnership development, and capacity-building activities in ocean, climate, and maritime sciences.
