Biological Oceanography, Marine Ecology
Oceanographer with an MSc in Biological Oceanography (IO-USP, Brazil) and a PhD in Marine Science, Technology and Management (Sustainable Use of Marine Resources) from the University of Aveiro. Currently a researcher at CIIMAR, contributing to the DTO-BioFlow project within the Digital Twin of the Ocean framework. Has experience across research, policy and applied projects, having worked at IEAPM - Brazilian Navy and Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Brazil), and in European projects at IPMA and the University of Algarve (Portugal). Her expertise focuses on ecological modelling and ecosystem dynamics, coastal ecology (population dynamics), and aquaculture systems (RAS, semi-intensive and IMTA), integrating environmental drivers and biological processes. Also has experience in regulatory frameworks and experimental protocols.
