Activities
Currently, I am the Deputy Director for Research at the Instituto Español de Oceaanografía (IEO). My role is to coordinate research and advise activities at IEO including our three reasearcha areas: Marine Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture.
My scientific background is about the interactions between ecosystem and fish population dynamics.
From 2015 to 2019 I was the Head of the Marine Environment Area at the Instituto Español de Oceanografía. My role was to coordinate research activities that include Physical Oceanography, Marine Geology, Marine ecology, Biogeochemistry, marine contaminants and their use for the management of the marine environment, e.g the implementation of Marine Protected Areas.
