Activities
I am an specialist in intertidal biogeography, studying the processes and mechanisms driving species distributions. Most of my work focus on the study of the mechanistic links between climate, thermal stress, physiology and macro-ecological processes. My research brings together a variety of disciplines, including climatology, biogeography, electronics, experimental ecology, behaviour, physiology and modelling. My field studies are currently being carried out on the Atlantic coast of Europe and North Africa.
I am also the co-founder of the startup www.electricblue.eu. We create tools for environmental monitoring and biologging, like the EnvLogger rugged temperature logger.
I am a member of the Pole to Pole MBON network.
