Skills
I am a PhD graduate in Physical Oceanography from the Middle East Technical University, Institute of Marine Sciences. My research focuses on the formation, variability, and circulation of Levantine Intermediate Water (LIW) in the Eastern Mediterranean, using high-resolution hydrodynamic modeling (NEMO) and multi-decadal simulations.
My work integrates numerical modeling, observational validation (ARGO, satellite, and in situ data), and advanced diagnostics to investigate thermohaline processes and regional circulation dynamics. I have experience working with large oceanographic datasets, MATLAB-based analysis pipelines, and NetCDF data processing.
I also hold an MSc in Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems from METU and have a background in Computer Engineering, which supports my expertise in scientific computing and model development.
