Activities
Supervise three Units within the Office: GIS Unit; Climate Change & Resilience Unit and Coastal Consistency Unit. Work on major Office initiatives such as offshore planning, long-term planning for Superstorm Sandy recovery and community & regional resilience planning. Oversaw development and deployment of the New York State Ocean and Great Lakes Atlas, as required by ECL Article 14, the New York Ocean and Great Lakes Ecosystem Conservation Act (Act). Develop project proposals and budgets and direct data collection efforts. Initiated agreement with federal agency to support geographic data collection efforts. Oversee contractors developing and managing data warehouse associated with the Atlas. Project manager for development of the Geographic Information Gateway (Gateway) http://opdgig.dos.ny.gov/index.html#/home which replaced the Atlas.

Experienced Deputy Division Director with a demonstrated history of working in the state government. Skilled in Coastal Management, Environmental Issues, Analytical Skills, Government, and Offshore Planning. Strong project management professional with a Masters in Natural Resources Management from State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry.
