Ashik Jahan Galib is a Coastal Science & Policy Fellow at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He previously worked with the Wildlife Conservation Society in Bangladesh, where he led research and policy initiatives on marine conservation in the Bay of Bengal. His work contributed to the establishment and expansion of marine protected areas. Galib’s current focus is on conservation finance, marine governance, and strengthening community-based monitoring systems.
