Ms. Ananya is a promising early career professional in the field of oceanographic and coastal environment studies. She takes part in training sessions on different software uses and attends relevant workshops and conferences to enrich her knowledge.
Ms. Ananya, is currently studying MS (thesis) in Oceanography at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. During her thesis work, she has actively carried out research works on a rapid, accurate, and commercially feasible analytical method for the routine analysis of the banned organochlorine pesticide (OCP) and currently used pesticide (CUP) residues in coastal river water samples. Two of her recent research works on pesticide residue occurrence and associated ecological risks has been published in reputed Q1 journals.
Concerning the emerging threats of microplastics contamination in marine water, previously, she has been involved in microplastics in crude salt study which was published in "Regional Studies in Marine Science" journal. Her bachelor project was on fish growth and otolith dimension relationship of Pama Croaker which is essential to differentiate inter-stock characteristics of a fish species. She has completed her BS in Oceanography with an excellent academic result, specifically, through achieving 1st class 1st position in her batch.
