Activities
Currently I'm a PhD Student of the Geology Continental Margins Laboratory (LAMA) of the University of São Paulo focuses in sequence stratigraphy of clastic systems, sea-level variations and origin, evolution and sedimentary processes on modern continental shelves and coastal zones. The main objective of my thesis project is to carry out a seismicstratigraphic study of the inner continental shelf of the northern littoral of the São Paulo State (located between São Sebastião Island and Ubatuba) and to investigate the role played by sea-level changes during the Late Quaternary and its oceanographic processes in the sediments accumulation that comprises the last depositional sequence.
Skills
I have substantial experience in the acquisition, preprocessing and mainly interpretation of seismicstratigraphic data with emphasis in shallow high-resolution seismic (eg. chirp, boomer and sparker), as well acquisition, preprocessing and interpretation of underwater acoustic data (sidescan sonar and multibeam); coastal and marine processes; modern deltas and continental shelves.
