I am a devoted marine scientist hailing from Bangladesh, associated with the Environmental Oceanography and Climate Division under the Bangladesh Oceanographic Research Institute (BORI). I have almost seven years of research experience. My main working areas include marine and coastal environmental pollution, coastal flood & erosion, climate change-induced coastal hazards & vulnerability, coastal zone management, sea level change, blue economy & ocean governance. I participated in the “Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) Oceanography & Hydrography Cooperation in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea onboard ORV Sagar Nidhi (SN181)," organized by the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), India, from 16th September to 18th October 2023. During the cruise, I actively participated in the deployment and retrieval of SAIC Tsunami buoys, Argo floats, and sea gliders. These instruments play a crucial role in monitoring oceanic conditions and detecting potential tsunamis, making their maintenance vital for the safety and well-being of coastal communities. Additionally, he was involved in the collection of biogeochemistry- and bio-optical-related water samples using a Rosette. I also participated in the “Tsunami Community Preparedness” training organized by the Specialized Training Center-Indonesia (BMKG) & UNESCO/IOC Project Office for IODE (45-hour training course, Indonesia, 13th December 2022) & the “Tsunami Ready Training Course (Indonesia)” organized by the INTERGOVERNMENTAL OCEANOGRAPHIC COMMISSION OF UNESCO (IOC) (30-hour training course, Indonesia, 13th December 2021). I am a member of the National Oceanographic and Maritime Institute (NOAMI); the Rajshahi University Geography and Environmental Studies Alumni Association (RUGESAA) of the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh; the South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA); and the National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD), Bangladesh. I have experience in data analysis and visualization, report writing, paper writing, and publication. He is proficient in the use of SPSS, ArcGIS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and video editing. I am very interested in collaborative research projects. I am also interested in working on marine and coastal environmental pollution, coastal flood & erosion, climate change-induced coastal hazards & vulnerability, coastal zone management, sea level change & the blue economy. I am working now on the present salinity status, salinity intrusion & adaptation strategies in the coastal region of Bangladesh.
