I've worked with remote sensing applied to submarine volcanism (dissertation work on characterization of discoloration plumes related with this type of eruptions between 2000 and 2018, worldwide) and it's my main research interest.
Back in 2021, I did an internship (9 months) in the Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory of University of Coimbra where I developed a taste for inventorying, organizing and analyzing historical geophysical data. Last year I've worked as a research fellow in the HISTIGUC project, funded by FCT.
I've published some abstracts related to natural hazards, remote sensing, submarine volcanism and historical geophysical data, and a paper in fluvial floods using historical precipitation data.

I won a PhD scholarship in Remote Sensing Data Applied to Submarine Volcanism, where the main objective is to create a model based on parameters like Chl-a, sst, , poc, pic and kd 490 extracted from time periods when submarine volcanism is known to be ongoing. I'm also curious to see what effect deep currents, surface currents and even wind can have on the distribution of volcanic products.
