My research focuses on the impacts of climate change on South Atlantic coral reef ecosystems, with an emphasis on thermal stress, coral bleaching, and ocean acidification. As a PhD candidate at the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo (IO-USP), I investigate the historical patterns of thermal stress, the ecological consequences of the fourth global coral bleaching event, and the current aragonite saturation state of Brazilian reefs. My goal is to improve long-term reef monitoring, identify vulnerable and resilient reef areas, and provide scientific evidence to support coral reef conservation under a changing climate.

I am very hardworking and like to explore multiple areas, since molecular biology (already worked with DNA extraction from algae samples), to taxonomy and field sampling (I am SCUBA diving instructor).
