Activities
Conduct marine monitoring surveys, assess health of water bodies, and conduct Water Framework Directive Regulations investigations to identify reasons for issues. Main areas of focus are around nutrients (Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen) and secondary responses from excess nutrients including opportunistic macroalgal growth and phytoplankton blooms; specialise in nutrients and nutrient management. Also conduct investigations into a range of ecological and physico-chemical elements.
Project management - developing new methods using sondes for identifying sources of pollutants linked to issues in marine environment.
Skills
Over a decade of multidisciplinary experience in environmental sector, including marine ecology, marine survey, freshwater survey, field work, boat work, fish identification, data analysis, report writing and editing, project management, investigation techniques, environmental law, enforcement, nutrients and nutrient management.
Investigative techniques to assess water body health and identify reasons for issues. Topics of investigations range from ecology to physico-chemical.
Marine monitoring surveys such as seagrass, saltmarsh, fish, benthic invertebrates, drop down video.
