Nature of work:
i. To study the diversity of small pelagic fishes along the Trivandrum coast.
ii. Understanding the Key Identification characters of the small pelagic fishes.
iii. To study the morphometrics, meristics, length-weight relationship and some
of the biological aspects of Amblygaster sirm landed along the Trivandrum
coast.

Assessment of Fishery resources, landings and species composition of the
study area based on commercial as well as experimental fishing
Fish taxonomy and identification Sample collection from the landing centre
and observation of their biological attributes Preparing work report and power point presentation
