Activities
Andrew Ziegwied is a highly
experienced Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), New Blue Economy
Specialist, and the current VP of Ocean Data at Ocean Aero. With a proven track
record in global sales and business development, he has delivered successful
uncrewed scientific solutions at Saildrone and L3Harris Technologies, Inc
(formerly ASV Global). Prior to this, Andrew served as vice president of ocean
science and systems sales for MacArtney Underwater Technology and MacArtney,
Inc. He also has a background in application engineering with instrument
manufacturer Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc. (now Seabird Scientific, Inc., and
oceanographic fieldwork and project management with Evans-Hamilton, Inc (now
TetraTech). Andrew holds a BS in Oceanography from the University of Washington
and serves as the Chair of the Marine Technology Society Uncrewed Maritime
Systems Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the AUVSI Cascade Chapter
Board and Maritime Advocacy Committee.
