As a GIS Analyst in the Integrated Physical Oceanography Lab of the National Institute of Oceanography, my work involves utilizing GIS and Remote Sensing analysis and tools to map and visualize the coastal and oceanographic dynamics of blue regions of Pakistan. I utilize multiple data sources including SAR, Altimetry, aerial and optical imaging alongside field measurements identifying, analyzing and forecasting the patterns, trends and anomalies of the coastal and oceanographic processes. I am particularly working on the cumulative impact of sea water intrusion, sea level rise, coastal erosion and land subsidence along the Pakistan Coast.
Skills
I specialize in geospatial and remote sensing analysis, adept at acquiring and processing aerial data. With professional drone piloting skills, I ensure precise data collection. My proficiency extends to spatial data science, encompassing predictive analysis. Additionally, I'm experienced in operating physical oceanographic instruments and proficient in GNSS management and processing.
