Activities
I'm an environmental engineering student focusing on plastic pollution in aquatic ecosystems. I'm going to finish my degree in 2025 and I intend to specialize in biological oceanography, with the aim of studying the interactions and impacts that anthropological actions cause to the oceans and marine life, seeking solutions to reduce these impacts. My biggest goal is to study the impact of plastics, mainly because it is, unfortunately, something that is growing and I want to be able to help and do my part to change this scenario. I am starting research at the university studying the impact of plastics in the nearest river basin, which is the Alto Parananapanema Basin, studying the impact of plastics around it and looking for solutions.
Skills
Throughout my degree, I was part of many extracurricular projects and was able to develop some soft skills, such as improving my communication, having been part of many organizations with a leadership role, I was able to lead teams and develop empathy and negotiation skills. Furthermore, I learned a lot of software in practice, such as QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD and Office Package, working daily with databases and Excel.
Comment(s)
I was very interested in the course, as it is the area in which I want to work, specifically studying plastics and their impacts on our environment. I want to specialize in the area and I'm looking to learn a lot about the subject, so I can carry out good research and make a good contribution to science and ultimately, to the Planet.
