Fundamental and applied work on sediment transport and bed morphology change. Developer of theoretical formulas, analytical formulations, empirical techniques, and numerical models for predicting the bed evolution in coastal areas. Experience of advanced data analysis techniques and data-driven simulation methods. Involved in research and engineering projects to model sediment transport, beach change, movement of dredged material, and infilling of navigation channels. Work on fundamental fluid mechanics including mixing in fluids (stratified and non-stratified fluids) and shear flows (swirling and non-swirling jets, and plumes). Project experience from Europe, USA, Japan, China, and Vietnam.
