Activities
Establishing an integrated coastal observatory within the Red Sea Global projects zone to monitor the environmental health and response to climate variability and trends within the Red Sea. I am responsible for extending from the shoreline to shallow ecosystems that include mangroves, sea grasses, and coral reefs, then into the deeper coastal ocean where open ocean processes dominate the system. Thus, being a pioneer in the application of coastal monitoring across a range of habitats and scales for use by managers and policymakers for the effective management and sustainability of the Red Sea ecosystem
