Activities

For my Master’s thesis, I am investigating the use of polychaete species as biomonitor species of metal contamination in the Berg River Estuary; a Ramsar site. 


Laboratory analyses include; taxonomic key identification, sediment digestion, polychaete digestion, Loss-on ignition method, and metal analysis using ICP-MS. 

I currently work at my institution as well, as a research assistant for Marine Biology 1. This includes conducting independent practical sessions in the laboratory with students.
