Activities
I am is a Lecturer and researcher of Fish rearing and production at the Aquaculture Division, National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Egypt. He received a B.Sc. degree in fish Farming (2004), and an M.Sc. degree in fish production (2014) from Alexandria University, Egypt, and holds a doctorate “Ph.D.” (2019) in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Astrakhan State Technical University, Russian Federation. He has been active in the area of Sturgeon Aquaculture including hatching, weaning, larvae rearing, broodstock management, fattening and rearing herds in the recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). In addition, He has good experience in Tilapia hatching and farming, shrimp and marine fish fattening and rearing (larval rearing), and diet formulation. He has international experience including many visits, training, advanced courses seminars, and conferences in Egypt and Russian Federation. His current research involves the study of the Ecological impacts of Aquaculture, reducing water consumption for freshwater, aquaculture systems and engineering, and modification of RAS as well as modern aquaculture techniques to e applied in Egypt. He is trying to introduce new species of fish and shrimp suitable for the Egyptian Environment. His research work is supported by the NIOF.
