I am actively engaged in economic development, fisheries and marine sector advancement, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) consulting. My work spans policy formulation, project implementation, and sectoral development, with a strong focus on sustainable fisheries and marine science.
Economic Development & Policy Implementation
As part of the Economic Pillar at the Office of the Prime Minister, I contribute to national economic strategies, particularly in the implementation and monitoring of the National Transformational Plan. My responsibilities include:
• Supporting the development of policies that drive economic growth and transformation.
• Evaluating and monitoring national development programs to ensure effective implementation.
• Identifying key economic opportunities, particularly in the fisheries sector, to enhance sustainable development.
• Engaging with stakeholders across government, private sector, and international organizations to drive policy impact.
Fisheries and Marine Development
With a background in marine science, I focus on advancing the fisheries and marine sectors through:
• Biological Oceanography: Studying marine ecosystems, plankton productivity, and their impact on fisheries.
• Marine Ecology: Assessing and improving the health of marine habitats, promoting conservation efforts, and ensuring ecosystem sustainability.
• Fisheries and Aquaculture: Addressing the skilled labor gap in fishing operations, fish processing, aquaculture, marine biology, and fisheries management. I work on strategies to enhance the economic impact and sustainability of the sector.
• Physical Oceanography: Understanding ocean currents, climate impacts on fisheries, and their role in resource management.
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Performance Consulting
I apply my expertise in M&E and performance consulting to ensure effective policy and program implementation. My work includes:
• Designing performance measurement frameworks for economic and fisheries-related initiatives.
• Conducting impact assessments to evaluate policy effectiveness and guide decision-making.
• Developing data collection and reporting mechanisms to enhance transparency and accountability in project implementation.
