Activities
I am employed as a Contract Lecturer at the Pacific Adventist University (PAU) in Papua New Guinea. After returning from a postgraduate study in Australia last year, I continued working with the nonprofit organisation that I have founded, namely, Environment & Development Alliance (PNG) Inc. Since returning, I undertook various consultancy work that ranged from writing project proposals, establishing a cooperative society for coffee growers, and focusing on delivering sustainable livelihood projects in my paternal community.
This year, I am engaged by the School of Business as a 'Contract Lecturer', teaching only one unit in the first semester, namely 'Management Not-for-Profit Organisations'. I am teaching third-year undergraduate accounting and management students on governance, leadership,
finance, human resource management, fundraising, accountability, program evaluation, and stakeholder engagement, with an emphasis on ethical leadership, sustainability, and culturally responsive practices in faith-based, community,
and development organisations. In this course, students will gain practical skills and insights
necessary to lead & support nonprofit organisations in addressing societal
needs while respecting cultural diversity and promoting sustainable
development. In the second semester, I will be teaching 'Business Law' and 'Business Research Methods'. Whilst teaching, I am enrolled in two online courses, namely, 'Engaging with High Integrity Carbon Markets under Article 6' and 'Using Science, Knowledge and Tools to Operationalise the BBNJ Agreement'.

Comment(s)
A lawyer by profession, with two undergraduate degrees in business management and law from the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG). I recently obtained two master's degrees in international law and international relations from the University of Western Australia (UWA). I am an environmental lawyer with a strategic focus on public international law and its relevance to and alignment with national and regional environmental policies, laws, and regulations. The focus of my research is on ocean governance, integrated ocean management and marine spatial planning with a view to securing maritime boundaries, promoting marine scientific research and optimising the investments on maritime security, conservation and fisheries resources in areas within and in areas beyond national jurisdictions (ABNJ). I am constantly researching and studying the development of the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement).
