Lori Osmundsen is an international environmental lawyer and organization governance advisor with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University, a master’s in Maritime Law from the University of Oslo, Norway, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School. Her environmental law practice focuses on ocean law, and she advises, researches, writes and collaborates on projects concerning marine plastic pollution, ocean governance, marine protected areas, the ocean-climate nexus, and deep sea mining. She has worked on ocean law, science and policy projects in the U.S., Tonga, Fiji, and Norway. Ms. Osmundsen is a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL), an expert commission of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and is an active contributor to the Ocean Law and Climate Change Law Specialty Groups of WCEL.
