My main research background concerns micropaleontology and biogeochemistry of planktic and benthic foraminifera and paleoceanographic reconstructions in marine environment. My current activities develop across three main themes: (i) plankton biodiversity and long term trends in marine waters, (ii) data management (interoperability of data and implementation of semantic resources) within eLTER-RI, (iii) Public engagement and open science. I'm the coordinator of the scientific secretariat and of the Communication working group of the Italian Long-Term Ecological Research Network (LTER-Italy).
