Activities
Most of my research activities are related with the environmental evaluation
of Uruguayan aquatic systems. In that sense, most of our projects studied the
relationship between the benthic organisms and the geochemical conditions in
natural, industrial and also urban environments, trying to determine whether
human activities contributed to changes in the natural conditions of the
analysed variables.
In those projects the specific activities were:
·
Analysing
and processing oceanographic buoy data
·
Organic
matter and granulometric analysis in soils and sediments
·
Sample
digestion for the analysis of heavy metals
·
Nutrient
analysis in water and sediment (total nitrogen and total phosphorous)
·
Analysis
of chlorophyll-a as an indicator of
primary productivity
·
Participating
in sampling campaigns
