• Does research  on storm surge models, simulate and evaluate Japan Meteorological Agency  (JMA) Storm Surge Model and the Cornell Multi-grid Coupled Tsanami Model – Storm Surge (COMCOT);
• Actively involved in the project “A Dispersive Long-Wave Model for Predicting Coastal Flooding Due to Storm Surges and Surface Waves in Manila Bay”; 
• Does research on wave modeling; Actively involved in the preparation of Storm Surge Hazard Mapping for selected prone areas in the Philippines; 
• Renders duty during inclement weather or when a Tropical Cyclone inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility  (PAR) has a potential  to generate a storm surge,   simulate existing storm surge models and prepare storm surge forecast.
