Marine Geoscientist & Environmental Researcher with 20 years of experience in marine pollution, sustainable food production and blue economy topics.

I have served as Innovation Manager for the Blue Economy & Senior Project Officer at the Atlantic International Research Centre - AIR Centre since 2021, where I lead various projects and initiatives related to marine and environmental sciences.

Over the past 15 years, I have conducted research at leading European institutes and universities promoting international cooperation. From 2021 to 2024, I led the Work Package focussed on International Cooperation at the EU H2020 ASTRAL project (All Atlantic Ocean Sustainable, Profitable, and Resilient Aquaculture). I have overseen the development and setting of the 'Atlantic Aquaculture Network' in the frame of ASTRAL and I have been involved as a speaker and organiser in different High-Level events aimed at bringing science discussions to a policy-maker level and promoting science diplomacy and international cooperation.

Currently, I act as the Contact Node for the Atlantic Ocean at the EU Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP).
