Activities
My primary interests are the biodiversity, ecology and conservation of reef fishes, particularly in Hong Kong. This includes monitoring the fish assemblages in several local Marine Parks to see whether the increased protectionin these areas is having any effect. I have also conducted surveys of hard and soft coral communities in Hong Kong and American Samoa and have a keen interest in understanding more about the sub-tidal marine environment in Hong Kong in general. I try to educate others about the biodiversity and conservation importance of the sub-tidal fauna through underwater photographs. In 2002-3 I am teaching 2 undergraduate courses at the University of Hong Kong; Fish Biology and Fisheries and Mariculture
