My main research interests are: Fish Feeding Ecology, Fisheries and Ecosystem Management, Large Aquatic/Marine Ecosystems, Planktivore-Zooplankton Interactions, Pelagic Communities, Comparative Ecosystem Analysis, Ecological Modeling, Risk Analysis, Ecosystem Indicators,  ecosystem structure and dynamics, predator-prey interactions, multi-species production models, planktivory, diet selectivity, food web dynamics, pelagic communities, ecological modeling.

Ecosystems where I have primarily worked in detail are: the Northwest Atlantic, the Laurentian Great Lakes- especially Lake Superior, and the Gulf of Mexico; but have a global set of comparative experience
