Activities
I am a marine community ecologist with a wide interest in benthic biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and food-web ecology, specialized in deep-sea environments and the biology and ecology of meiofauna and nematodes. Current research projects aim at understanding what drives benthic diversity and how it affects marine sediment functions. I am also engaged in assessment sof anthropogenic and climate-change impacts. I believe in strong science-policy communication, the integration of socio-economic research in environmental science, and open-access policies.
