Activities
Currently, I'm involved in several research projects that assess important water masses in the Ross Sea, which impact, among others, the stabilizing ice shelves that surround the Antarctic Ice Sheet as well as the global thermohaline circulation.
As a physical oceanographer, I am well-versed in the acquisition, processing, and analysis of hydrographic data from a range of sources, including in-situ observations, reanalyses, and satellite-derived data. Additionally, I am an experienced communicator, skilled in scientific and technical reporting and multilingual translation, with an active interest in raising awareness of climate change and promoting FAIR data through social networks and multimedia design.
Sea regions of study
Mediterranean Sea - Western Basin
Mediterranean Sea - Eastern Basin
Tyrrhenian Sea
Aegean Sea
Southern Ocean
