Proficiency on DRM Damage & Needs Assessment, guiding the training curriculum development process on DRM and training evaluation techniques and development of IEC material. Expertise on disaster risk management and Community based early warning system. Expertise on gender-sensitive curriculum development, planning and evaluation for gender equality for disaster risk management. Strong hold on research and policy support area especially on Conduction of research and disseminate learning documents, tools and developed many policy documents, capacity building package. Long experience of strengthening community development and disaster resilience work. Strong knowledge and experience of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation methods at the community level and with local authorities. Huge experience in training or capacity building on DRM with diverse groups. Experience of DRR policy and advocacy activities and knowledge of regional and global DRR and climate change policy arena. Excellent communication and shared learning experience on compilation of climate change issues and best practices of DRR. Communication skills including the ability to distil technical information for a non-specialist audience; and the ability to write policy and technical briefings. Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of Emergency ICS concept and humanitarian principles. Excellent group facilitation skills, with proven ability to lead a participatory workshop towards its aims.
