Activities

1. Carry out research whose object, subject or model of study are animals, addressing different aspects such as systematics, biogeography, genetics, ecophysiology, behavior, conservation, ecology and evolution at different levels.

2. To train human resources in research with aptitudes to perform internationally competitively in the different subdisciplines.

3. To propel and facilitate the scientific-technological transfer to the environment, for the resolution of environmental, health, conservation, management and sustainable use problems, among others.

4. Propose to the corresponding authorities the realization of agreements with public or private institutions, national or international, for the development of joint research projects and the exchange of researchers and fellows.
