As Director of the Board of Directors I have to participate in the decision-making of the institution, I am part of the team that develops direct management tasks of the institution in the departments of administration, Education and Museography and I participate in the development, search for financing and project execution. As a researcher, I develop research projects of the institution as well as those of my area of specialization, which is the taxonomy of Decapod Crustaceans. As a researcher I support the Museum in the development of the exhibitions.

Twice I was General Director of an NGO dedicated to the investigation and conservation of the Archipielago Los Roques National Park, located more than 70 miles from the coast. As General Director, I had to make all the decisions of this institution and handle administrative and logistical aspects of the station, develop and execute research and conservation project of that institution as well as support projects of other institutions (Universities). The difficulties of managing a station isolated from the main development centers allowed me to develop tools to solve problems and to manage financing.
