I am currently focused into understand how carbonate system variables fluctuate in coastal and estuarine natural environments. This knowledge is essential to then assess how human-trigger environmental shifts (such as OA) affect physiology and ecology responses in early-stage phases of marine and estuarine species. I am specifically interested in the effect of natural and predicted shifts of pH over the evolution and adaptation of invertebrates. In another research line, I am evaluating the marriage between ecological constraints over the genetic mating system of decapods.
